Aquapark Moen is set to become the new top tourist attraction in the Greater Copenhagen Area. With 500 holiday homes and a centre for all kinds of water activities – right by the coast!

We hope that the project will catch the interest of tourism investors and operators in hotel, holiday-centre and wellness chains throughout Europe.

Aquapark Moen will be located in the town of Stege on the island of Moen, one hour’s drive south of Copenhagen. Moen is connected to Zealand and Falster by bridges. With the future Fehmarn connection, 15 – 20 million people in Germany, Denmark and Sweden will be able to reach the Aquapark in less than 2½ hours.

Moen is one of the best known Danish tourist destinations. The white cliffs of Moens Klint have an international reputation. Moen offers beautiful landscapes, nice beaches, an exciting history and all kinds of tourist services. The mainly Danish and German tourists come to experience the unique natural landscape and enjoy outdoor activities.

Stege is a small but lively commercial and tourist town. The Aquapark will be situated at the former sugar factory, the most important industrial heritage site in the region. It is not intended to be a closed tourist ‘resort’, but an accessible part of the town, closely connected to Stege’s shops, restaurants, cultural attractions and urban life.

The plan is to create 500 holiday homes of varying sizes at Aquapark Moen, located in renovated factory buildings and new buildings leading down to the coast. Here a new beach park will be established. Two huge sugar silos will be transformed into a bathing and diving centre. Outdoor activities - biking, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, sailing, fishing - will spread out from the Aquapark all over Moen.

One of the strengths of Aquapark Moen is that – unlike almost everywhere else in Denmark – we are allowed to build all the way down to the waterline. This is one of the reasons that the Aquapark project obtained the highest score in investor appeal in a recent, extensive tourism analysis.
