Copenhagen Science City

Copenhagen Science City

Copenhagen Science City is a centre of research. A centre of research focusing on ICT, cleantech and life science. Upstarts and conglomerates. The tiniest molecules and the biggest inventions.

The university becomes part of the city and the city becomes part of the university. Academia and business join forces to create a growth centre in health, science, education and an attractive place to live, study, research and work.

The university is becoming part of the city and the city is becoming part of the university. Academia and business are joining forces to create a growth centre in health, science, education and an attractive place to live, study, research and work.

Copenhagen Science City is already well integrated into the urban network of Copenhagen. The new metro city circle will connect Copenhagen Science City directly to the metro network.

As a city for science, the Copenhagen Science City is designed to promote the exchange of ideas and sharing of facilities. Copenhagen Bio Science Park, Bioneer: FARMA and Copenhagen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab lend facilities and expertise to product innovation and business developments in the area.

The European Spallation Source - Data Management and Software Centre - will open in the Niels Bohr Science Park in 2019, thereby providing direct access to the most advanced research facility for material science in the world. By 2015 the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences will complete its new 42,700m2 high-rise for research and education. A few years later, Rigshospitalet - Copenhagen University Hospital - is due to expand by 40% while the existing buildings are refurbished.
