New lease of life for the centre of Måløv

The station area is to be revitalised with housing and shops - and with initiatives planned for the town centre.

Ballerup Municipality wants to develop an area close to Måløv Station as part of the general regeneration of the town centre.

The area is close to the station, and right in the centre of Måløv. The development is intended to create a cohesive, lively town centre.  On one side of the area is the old town, with shops and leisure facilities, and on the other is the new, attractive neighbourhood of Søndergård, with a stunning artificial lake and newly-built homes.

Central location with lots of potential

The area close to the centre of Måløv is ideal for housing and a supermarket near to the station. Despite its location between road and railway, there is the potential for creating an attractive residential area here with Måløv Byvej to the north, and with a grassy area and view over Søndergård to the south. Buildings of up to 7 storeys can be erected on this site. 

Joint development with a range of landowners

Most of the site is privately-owned, but Ballerup Municipality and Banedanmark also own land in the area. The municipality is negotiating with landowners on the joint development of the area, and a draft proposal has already been released for public consultation in Måløv. A development plan providing building permits will be jointly developed with investors and should be ready in the spring of 2019.
