Science Village Scandinavia

Science Village Scandinavia – a place where business, academia and citizens interact

Science Village is the district between the research facilities ESS and MAX IV in the north east part of the city of Lund. The area is being developed for the use by businesses, research and educational facilities in the field of research within life and materials sciences.

Science Village Scandinavia AB is a public property developer who owns the land and sells the building rights to investors. The total construction volume is estimated to 250 000 sqm and the building rights are sold in blocks of 5 000 - 20 000 sqm each.

Offices, labs, university campuses, research institutes and service facilities are included in the development plan. To describe ESS and MAX IV for the public, there are also plans for a Science Center at Science Village.

The buildings can be erected with up to seven or eight floors, in a variety of architectural styles. The whole district will use hot waste water from ESS for heating and cooling of the buildings.
