Vinge is a new sustainable city with a diverse urban structure integrated with the natural landscape. Both are equally important parts of the city. The city of Vinge will have a new train station with shops, institutions and companies gathered in the city center around the station.

  • Vinge is the last and largest, remaining urban development area in Copenhagen.
  • Vinge is easily accessible both by car and public transportation. Vinge will have a new station on the S-train line between Copenhagen and Frederikssund, resulting in train trip to Copenhagen of approximately 30 min. The station is within walking distance of all of Vinge.
  • The core values of Vinge are simplicity, presence, nature and urban life. These core values are integrated into the planning and development of the city, where nature and urbanity are equally important. The presence and simplicity are reflected in the structure.
  • The architecture in Vinge is varied both functionally and architecturally.
  • Sustainability plays a defining role in Vinge, for example by being able to supply itself with sustainable electricity and heat. The sustainable energy supply will be built without requiring large investments in energy infrastructure, by developing independent clusters which can be interlinked to strengthen and develop the supply of sustainable energy supplies.
  • Vinge will be developed over the next 30 years. The development of the first residential area will begin in 2015. The development of the industrial area has already been partly completed and Topsil Semiconductors have inaugurated their new headquarters in Vinge.
