Gladsaxe Ringby is the oldest planned industrial district outside Copenhagen and was established in the 1930s. The district covers an area of 116 hectares and is home to more than 250 companies with more than 10,000 employees. A large number of companies, including Novo Nordisk, NNIT, NCC, MT Højgaard, GEA, Alfa Laval, CMC Biologics, Krüger and PPG Dyrup have chosen locations in and around Gladsaxe Ringby for their headquarters.
With a light railway passing through the business district in a few years time and plans for intensified development, the area has opened up for new investment in both business and residential areas, which will transform Gladsaxe Ringby into a modern business district/residential area with easy access to Copenhagen. The municipality is also investing 40 million kroners in remodelling Gladsaxe Boulevard.
